About Telica
Pavel Telica, known artistically as Telica, is a London-based jazz guitarist and jazz hip hop producer blending jazz, bossa nova, neo soul and hip hop into warm, timeless vintage grooves. Rooted in expressive guitar playing, live musicianship and beat-driven production, his music explores the meeting point between jazz improvisation, Brazilian rhythm and contemporary hip hop, creating a sound inspired by the intersection of live musicianship, beat culture and underground community,
Originally from Latvia and based in London, Telica’s journey into music has been shaped as much by collaboration as by individual artistic development. He spent over than 8 years working as a music producer, composer and sound designer, building experience across many areas of the music industry including compositions for BBC Global. His first major breakthrough came through Doctor Gosso & the Samplers, the lo-fi jazz hip hop project founded together with producer Teo Marangon. Early releases quickly reached hundreds of thousands of streams and established the duo within the growing international community of jazz-influenced beat music. As the project evolved, so did the surrounding creative network, eventually becoming the Doctor Gosso Collective—a community of musicians, producers and artists performing collaborative shows across London’s vibrant jazz and hip hop scene.
Alongside his work with Doctor Gosso, Telica has continued developing his solo project, expanding his sound beyond lo-fi into a broader blend of jazz, bossa nova, neo soul and hip hop while placing greater emphasis on live instrumentation and visual storytelling. Across all of his catalogue as artist and producer, his music has surpassed 4.5 million streams and has been featured on Spotify editorial playlists including Best of Jazz, Jazz UK and Focus Flow, as well as on BBC Radio London. Beyond his own releases, he regularly collaborates with artists from London’s music community as a guitarist, producer and session musician.
In 2026, together with Teo Marangon, Telica co-founded The Office Recording Studios in London—a creative recording studio designed not only as a professional recording space, but as a home for collaboration, experimentation and community. The studio has become a place where musicians, producers and artists come together to write, record, perform and exchange ideas, reflecting the same collaborative spirit that defines Telica’s music.
His current body of work centres around Pura Vida, an upcoming multimedia project combining an album, live performances and a short film . Inspired by endless summer nostalgy, friendship, the ocean and the slower pace of life, the project represents a new chapter that brings together music, visual storytelling and community into one cohesive artistic world.
Whether recording in the studio, performing live or collaborating with musicians across London and beyond, Telica continues to explore the relationship between jazz tradition and modern beat culture. Through warm guitar tones, organic production and a deeply collaborative approach, his goal is simple: to create timeless music that invites people to slow down, connect and experience moments worth remembering.
